and join us in what will prove be an informative and interesting evening,
with various groups at work on the various current projects:- Members
discussing, advising, solving problems and showing clips of films shot
by members of our group.
WHAT
WE DO
Torfaen Camcorder Club has produced many videos for the local community
and volunteer groups. We have produced videos for Torfaen Opportunities
Group (a local charity), Torfaen Voluntary Alliance and CHYPS (a child
support unit.)
The
club has produced a video of the Blaenavon Riots and various historical
events. We are now in the process of producing a video of Greenmeadow
Community Farm, following the life and events of the farm over a period
of twelve months.
HOW
WE OPERATE
The
club has a monthly film night, where members submit their short films
for viewing and discussion. Members receive tuition on all aspects of
camcorder usage, including video editing on computers and producing
DVD films and video tapes
HOW
TO FIND US
It’s fairly easy to locate the farm. When you get to Cwmbran,
follow the brown road signs depicting a white sheep. They will direct
you to the farm. Just ask at the reception and they will show you to
the barn in which they keep us.
